Before half term we had a visit from Mrs Hollis’ dog Lola. We thought of lots of interesting questions to ask and listened carefully to all Mrs Hollis and Ellie’s answers.
We even got a chance to stroke Lola if we wanted to
1A have been working hard to be courteous and respectful so that they can earn as many CARROT tokens as they can.
Last week our hard work paid off and we won the Friday treat.
We decided to go to the park for the afternoon. It was so much fun to go and play in the playground.
Then we went over to 2ms and bought ourselves some snacks. Yummy!!
Yesterday we had a great morning on the field at the KS1 Sports Day.
We did lots of different events out in the sunshine.
Thank you to all the parents, friends and family who came out to support the children.
Then we had a race all the way around it the field.
There was even a parents’ race. Jay’s dad was determined to win and he did!

On Wednesday before half term we went to Kingsbury Water Park. After a very exciting journey we arrived at the Park. There was lots of grass and giant lakes.
First 1A went into the woods with Steve the ranger.
We took part in lots of different activities:
– digging for treasure
– making sandcastles and mud pies
– mud painting and charcoal patterns
– making homes for woodland creatures
– mini beast hunting
In the afternoon we had a great time exploring the adventure playground.
We had an amazing day and thought that it was the perfect ending to our enchanted woodland topic.
On Friday we had an Enchanted Woodland Day.
We dressed up as woodland creatures, elfs, fairies and nymphs.
We received an invite from Mr Fox telling us about his exciting party.
We planned the food, games and decorations.
In the morning we made the food. There were fairy cakes, chocolate hedgehogs, nests and sweet/sour mushrooms. The fairies had also made us a magical drink.
We also had chocolate twigs and slithery worms.
In the afternoon Mr Fox came to see us. We couldn’t believe it.
He was very impressed with the party that we had planned and joined us for a giant game of duck, duck goose. Unfortunately he didn’t run very fast so Maks managed to catch him!
After we had eaten all the food, we finished up by playing pin the wings on the fairy and pin the ears on the elf.
We had a great day.
Thank you Mr Fox for inviting us.
On Friday 15th May, as part of their topic work, YEAR 1 children can come to school dressed as a woodland animal, a fairy, elf or pixie.
We can’t wait to see how creative the costumes will be!
1A will be doing their class assembly on Thursday 30th April
1F will be doing their class assembly on Thursday 7th May
I’m sure you’ll have all heard by name, but year 1 have discovered what we think is an alien invasion.
Yesterday when we came into school everything was taped off!!
We decided to look around and see if we could find any clues!
We think that the alien may have come in through the ceiling and then went outside so we followed his slimey green trail.
How you seen anything suspicious around school this week?
we’ll keep you updated when we have assessed the evidence.
