Afternoon Mursery had lots of fun yesterday mark making with cars and paint. We talked about the different wheels and the different marks they made and watched the colours mix together. We found out that red and blue mix together and make purple. We had so much fun!
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Year 5 visited Blakesley Hall as part of our Princes, Peasants and Pestilence topic. We learned lots about the house and the Tudor way of life. Some of us got to dress up as a range of rich and poor people from 400 years ago.
Would you have liked to live at Blakesley Hall during Tudor Times?
Would you want to be rich or poor?
Check Blakesley Hall website to find out what’s going on just up the road.

The forest area is a fantastic place to find bugs! The children then used magnifying glasses to have a closer look. We described what it looked like and counted the number of legs. We thought about the bug’s habitat and why they live there.
One of our more recent interests in Nursery has been washing and cleaning our dolls! We really enjoyed this today and it has been really good for our gross motor skills!!!!
Morning Nursery enjoyed planting pips from an apple this morning, they talked about what they thought the pips might grow into, the counted the pips and planted them in our growing area! We can’t wait to see what they grow into!
In Nursery we have enjoyed printing with Numicon, we have explored patterns, numbers and shapes and even got messy at the same time!
In Nursery we have been having loads of fun in our outdoor area!! Yesterday afternoon Nursery enjoyed building a bridge to cross! We worked together and made a fantastic bridge!!
The children love being creative on the woodwork bench. Safety comes first…they know how to keep themselves safe by using the equipment sensibly and correctly. What will you make next? So far we have had a car and a rocket!
On Friday, the Reception classes made yummy sandwiches! They used good vocabulary to describe how to make them. Once they made their choice about what fillings they wanted, they ate them! Yum Yum!
