We won the attendance award so we celebrated by going on the best trip ever!!!!

5 had fun experimenting with light and colour to improve our understanding of the Dan Flavin exhibition we had seen at the Ikon Gallery. What did you enjoy most? What did you learn?
Today we finally freed our lovely butterflies! We had so much fun watching them fly away! We have loved having them in our classroom!!
Over the past two weeks Reception have been learning how to make number bonds to 10!!! We have been using large numicon to add 2 numbers together, we have had so much fun!
What a fantastic class assembly based on our ILP topic, ‘Out of this World’.

Today we have had two more butterflies hatch in our butterfly garden and we are currently watching the fourth hatch from its chrysalis! It’s very exciting!

Today we had a butterfly hatch from its chrysalis! It’s has beautiful symmetrical wings!!!
On Friday 13th May, year 5 went to the Icon gallery. We went to see Dan Flavin’s exhibition. Dan Flavin used fluorescent lights in different ways. He used the slogan “it is what it is and it ain’t nothing else.”
A huge well done to all of year 6 pupils for successfully completing their SATs tests this week! We are extremely proud of every single one of you, you have given them everything you’ve got and had a great learning attitude throughout! Well done year 6! 😀
